The modern classical flute is a wonderful instrument that is capable of projecting over a symphony orchestra and yet can be made to sound as sweet and plaintive as the flutes of bygone eras.   A student reaching the advanced level of classical training has the ability to play music from hundreds of years of western classical tradition, yet can also adapt to play a range of non-classical styles, from celtic to jazz.    It is one of the most popular instruments for wedding ceremonies and other events requiring an instrument that can create a mood of beauty and contemplation, as well as entertain with brilliance and joy. It is the instrument closest to the human voice.  

The Brandt Flute Studio is located in Maryland near the 1-270 Montrose Road exit.
